Introduction |
This utility performs a lookup of the specified domain in the InterNIC Registration Services database. This database contains ONLY non-military and non-US Government Domains and contacts. |

Installation |
There is no special procedure to follow. Just place the program in the Windows directory or in a dedicated folder (directory). Since this is a console application it would make sense to have the program in the path. WhoIs has been developed and tested on Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows NT 4.0 and requires no additional runtime DLLs. |

Usage |
USAGE: whois.exe [-q] [-t timeout value] [-s server] [-h host] -q quiet operation (disclaimer is not displayed) -t how long to wait for a response (default 15 seconds) -s specifiy a different server (default whois.internic.net) -p specifiy a different port (default 43) -h host to look up
