Introduction

This is a simple Win32 console application that allows Visual SourceSafe (VSS) users to scan their VSS archive for locked files. VSSLockedFiles provides a fast way to determine if you have files checked out.

Verifing that you or other team members have files that are still checked out ensures no file will be forgotten before a critical build. It also allows you to quickly check which files you have checked out.

Installation

There is no special procedure to follow for the installation. Just place the program (VSSLockedFiles.exe) in to a dedicated folder (directory).

VSSLockedFiles has been developed and tested on NT 4.0 and requires Visual Source Safe 6 (VSS6) to be installed on the client computer.
